Limes was created by Juan Floris in the mid 18th century to combat the oppressive heat of the City in summer. It is one of the earliest creations Limes was famously selected by actor Edward Fox in 1979 to be his only luxury item on BBC Radio 4's iconic Dessert Island Discs.
