This is done using an artisanal teasel brushing technique which lifts and pulls the fibres for a loose and relaxed shaggy brush effect. The traditional teasels – Dipsacus Fullonum, sourced in Europe – are a natural product and no man-made brush can replicate the unique brushing effects of the traditional teasel.
The brushing technique makes the wool’s texture even softer, resulting in a knit that isn’t just easier on the skin, but has a worn-in quality to it. The Shaggy appearance gives the sweater a more contemporary look.
